It's got many more uses than just getting the rind (no pith) off citrus though. It's great to create the edge, using a filing action, on a pie or tart - speaking of which - Lemon Polenta Cake anyone? I also use it for quickly grating cheese into a sauce - straight into the pan. It's really great for hard cheeses too, like fresh grated (no crumbs) of Parmesan to finish a pasta dish this Microplane 40020 Classic Zester/Grater
