How I Overcame My Fear of Getting Lost While Out Running!

Having set the goal to do a half marathon, I was starting to get more serious. I wanted to be able to track how far and how fast I was running. I found street running not as motivating as running on my treadmill. The treadmill has all these constant feedback results and I used power myself on to reach a new goal time and time again through a run. I found, without the feedback, street running could get boring - although it is easier to do interval training with street light lamp posts when you run in the real world.

I started to plot my running routes in the car, so I knew what my distances where and when I got home I could record my time, distance and work out my average speed. That worked for as long as it took for me to either get bored with the same old route, or until I got distracted and decided to take another route. I soon got tired of trying to work out my distances using the car. Then on day it dawned on me. I need a running GPS!
